The Brightmusic Society of Oklahoma
announces its 2007-2008 season

  • Six concerts this year
  • Special guest artists
  • World premiere of a work composed exclusively for Brightmusic
  • Our biggest season ever opens September 25th

Chad Burrow and Amy I-Lin Cheng, Brightmusic artistic directors, have put together an exciting and memorable program for all Brightmusic concert enthusiasts.  There’s truly something for everyone in the months to come.

We’re especially proud to announce that these guest artists will be appearing with us this year:

Daniel Blumenthal, internationally renowned pianist, is featured on over 80 recordings and was a top prize winner of Sydney, Queen Elizabeth, Leeds, Busoni, and Geneva international competitions.

Kurt Ollmann, baritone, has appeared with New York City and LaScala opera companies and was featured on the famous Leonard Bernstein/Jose Carreras/Kiri Te Konawa recording of West Side Story.

Dr. Kris Maloy, Adjunct Professor of Saxophone and Composition at Oklahoma City University, has composed for orchestra, wind ensemble, chamber orchestra, solo instruments, and a wide array of chamber ensembles.

Brightmusic co-founders and audience favorites, Matt Dane, violist, and Christina Jennings, flutist, will be with us at our opening concert on September 25th!

In addition, you’ll have the pleasure of meeting and hearing seven new members of the Brightmusic Chamber Ensemble.
