Tomasz Zieba

Upcoming performances: Tomasz Zieba

Tomasz Zieba, adjunct instructor of cello, has been appointed cellist with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic.

Tomasz joined the Oklahoma City University music faculty in Fall 2003. He has had several orchestral appointments, including with the New World Symphony; the Irving Symphony Orchestra and Plano Symphony Orchestra; the Fort Worth Symphony; the Krakow Philharmonic; and the Krakow Youth Symphony.

He has performed in festivals here and abroad, including the National Orchestral Institute (Washington, D.C.); the International Orchestra Forum (Puebla, Mexico); the International Orchestra Festival (Compagne, France); Texas Music Festival (Houston); the International Youth Music Festival (Vienna); and the Lancut Music Festival (Poland).

Principal teachers include Christopher Adkins, Ko Iwasaki, Brinton Smith, Henryk Zarzycki, and Andrzej Pal.

Tomasz received an artist certificate and M.Mus. in cello performance from Southern Methodist University, and his B.Mus in instrumental performance from Texas Christian University. He also earned diplomas or certificates from the Academy of Music in Krakow, Poland, and the M.Karlowicz School of Music, also in Krakow.
